Let’s feed ourselves first…

The Belcafé has a charming atmosphere and a great view of the Bellevueplatz, where you can watch the trams and people passing by. The cafe has a steel structure that dates back to 1939 and is an architectural landmark of Zurich.

I learned that is known for its homemade pizza, which is made with fresh dough, tomato sauce, grilled vegetables & mozzarella cheese. You can enjoy the pizza as a take away or to stay in the cafe.

The cafe also offers breakfast, lunch and dinner options, such as croissants, sandwiches, salads, desserts and drinks.

The staff are attentive and helpful, and the food is served quickly and hot👌 I especially enjoyed the view of the Bellevueplatz from the window. It was a relaxing and cozy place to have a meal.

Through my lens, experience the harmony of exquisite architecture blending with nature's palette, and let the tranquil waters and majestic vistas of Niesen and Niederhorn transport you. Whether it be a cozy family gathering or a sophisticated business meeting, all while indulging in the rich flavors and scenic splendors that define this enchanting locale.

Hungarian Parliament

Budapest was united from three cities in 1873, namely Buda, Óbuda, and Pest. Seven years later, the Diet resolved to establish a new, representative parliament building, expressing the sovereignty of the nation. The building was planned to face the Danube River. An international competition was held, and Imre Steindl emerged as the victor; the plans of two other competitors were later also realized in the form of the Ethnographic Museum and the Hungarian Ministry of Agriculture, both facing the Parliament Building. One reason that Steindl's proposal was chosen is that his neo-Gothic plans bore a strong resemblance with the Palace of Westminster in London. Leading Hungarian politicians of the 19th century found it extremely important that the country's new parliament building should symbolise their commitment to Western Europe, especially Britain, the country Hungarian reformers considered a political role model. Construction from the winning plan was started in 1885, and the building was inaugurated on the presumed 1,000th anniversary of the country in 1896. With the keys to the building being handed over in 1902, however, it was not fully completed until 1904.

Danubius Hotel Gellért

The Hotel Gellért is a historic Art Nouveau hotel established in 1918 and located on the west bank of the Danube in Budapest, Hungary. The hotel closed for renovations on December 1, 2021 and is scheduled to reopen in 2027 as Mandarin Oriental Gellert, Budapest.

Construction on the Hotel Saint Gellért started in April 1911. The hotel was named for Saint Gellért (St. Gerard Sagredo) the first bishop of Hungary in the 11th Century. The 176-room hotel was designed by Hungarian architects Ármin Hegedűs, Artúr Sebestyén and Izidor Sterk. Work on the hotel slowed due to World War I, and it did not open until 26 September 1918.
